Shipmaster Anbl 'Hojad.

 

 

Born in the district of Hojad on Sanghelios, Anbl is one of the most decorated military officers of the Sangheili Navy.

As a kid, he saw the war between the Covenant and the Humans unfold. He knew that it was a pathetic war and he despised most of his own race for even being part of the San 'Shyuum led alien hegemony. His faith was restored once his brothers allied with the Humans to end the Covenant threat once and for all.

Years after the great war, Anbl enlisted in the Navy as a "Seraph" class starfighter pilot. In other words, he began his journey to become a "Top Gun" of some sort.

His squadron was dubbed "The Banshees of Hell" because of his erratic maneuvers in the air; which made the seraph produce spine chilling sounds as he fired plasma torpedoes on his targets. Nevertheless, the battle for Eayn didn't last long, its inhabitants, known as the "Kig-Yar" or simply "Jackals" for humans lacked any significant technology to fight the invading fleet back.

During the last days of the war however, the fleet attacking Eayn was ambushed by a few post-Covenant ships that they had salvaged. The Shipmaster leading the assault had perished during the attack, him and his assault carrier the "Clarity of Faith". Without overlords, Anbl took action and led his squadron against the ambushing forces. He fought off all of the enemy's small sized vessels and the started targeting the 4 capital ships whom led the ambush. He didn't have the firepower to hit them so he fled with his squadron to the CCS-U456.

The ship was hovering above ground on Eayn, mostly empty due to most of its troops on the ground and unaware of what had happened to the "Clarity of Faith". Once onboard, he took the ship and used its slipspace drive to "teleport" behind the enemy fleet, after which he proceeded to blow the enemy to hell.

Being outnumbered, however granted him a pyrrhic victory against the enemy fleet. Heavily damaged, he decided to send transports and pickup the ground forces. Following that, he jumped home. The mission on Eayn was accomplished and received a hero's arrival.

Shortly after, he was promoted to the rank of Shipmaster, at the bridge of the "Sublime Transcendence" Supercarrier.

 

The Sublime Transcendence

He fought for the Sangheili empire over the course of 24 years, all victories. Defeat was not an option for him, but he knew what to do in the case of it happening.. like it did a few days ago. Jump in a random section of space, lose the attackers and then return home. He had met his love not too much ago, Shipmistress Neha 'Rocus. She was leading the 36th Fleet of Unyielding Reconnaissance. They were about to be married until the attack at "Sigma Delta" where Neha's fleet along with Anbl's 1st Fleet of Righteous Purpose were attacked by the new enemy. During the fight, Neha's fleet turned against Anbl's. He was outnumbered as his ships were destroyed by the allied fleet while attacking the new enemy. It was a very hectic scene where one is fighting an enemy while he is continuously stabbed in the back his allies, which are being attacked by the same enemy too! Needless to say, Anbl's fleet was vaporized rather quickly and decided to jump the supercarrier out of harm's way, leaving Neha handle her faith. It is unknown what happened to her, yet most probably she will be back.

They came, they loaded up their weapons and they fired! Didn't take much time. It was the most gigantic fleet I'd ever seen in my career. The onboard AI crashed wile trying to number their odds. They tore through the defensive fleet like a knife through butter! All Elite ships were soon overrun, desperately firing all of their weapons. We even sent a fleet of ours to defend, but they were vaporized before our eyes. If it wasn't for the Nightstalker's active camouflage we would have been stardust now. Where are you guys coming from?

We have been fleeing from the same threat. Our fleet at "Sigma Delta" was vaporized by the same kind of enemy.

And so it was, we returned home only to find out that the house is on fire. An entire defense fleet and a human force recon fleet was totally annihilated. Only one survivor, a cloaked human spy vessel. I ought to start contacting the rest of our brothers, but after this defeat, I am starting to wonder if we are the only ones left.

The spy ship will be escorting us to the human's homeworld, Earth. Where we shall discuss this new enemy.

Their bravely has never ceased to amaze me... They've sent an entire fleet of theirs to combat an enemy that not even our vessels could defeat.

Ship fully repaired.

It took a few days, but the vessel is now fully repaired. All systems have been repaired, from the battle network, to the weapons system, to the hull. Every breach is sealed, shields are now back online. We're ready to kick some serious ass.

I've now ordered our pilots to make the ship jump to Sanghelios, we must get there as fast as possible. However, since we jumped in intergalactic space, it might take a bit of time to get there.

It's following us.

Thinking for one second that we had escaped was a negligent act on my part. Our long range radars are starting to pick up their fleets traveling in slipspace. The good news is that our vessel travels much faster in slipspace than the enemy. Something which accounts for their inferior technology. If only their numbers were smaller too, if only they fought with honor... to chase a single ship with thousands... cowards.

Once we shed light on those fools they will scatter like cockroaches! At least.. they will try, but our valiant fleets won't allow them to do so, because we will turn their ships into GLASS DUST!

Repairs will be completed shortly, and we shall return to Sanghelios.

The "Sublime Transcendence".

The "Sublime Transcendence"

Once the pride of our fleet, this massively majestic intergalactic vessel 27 km long is the most potent ship of our navy. It can colonize new worlds, travel ludicrous distances at the blink of an eye and last but not least, bury entire worlds alive.

It's armed with seven energy projectors, plasma turrets and a multitude of pulse laser turrets, yet they were overrun once all ships perished. In a 1 to 1000 battle, even the best weaponry becomes ineffective. Speed was needed, and speed she delivered. Her three repulsion engines sent her into hyperspace leaving the enemy fleet behind.

After the shielding failed, massive damage occurred to our hull, but by chance, no vital or frail areas were hit, because if they did, I wouldn't be writing this log now.

We must find a way back to our home world, warn the others of this new enemy.. as it is not to be trifled with.

After a long ride in the ship's dorsal tunnels, the ship looks like a war zone. Repairs must be done as fast as possible. Plasma fluid is leaking from the ceilings, its terrible. That stuff sets you on fire if it gets on you, and you can't extinguish it.

Alone.

This battle is over, and we lost it. Without allies, the defeat was quick and brutal. As all of our ships got decimated by the enemy, we've decided to randomly jump. We emerged in a lost corner of space with a damaged vessel. Our greatest ally, and my love, forgot us. They watched as our fleet got annihilated by the enemy ships. We lost a bit of crew on the Transcendence too, after they placed a virus to take our shields down. It was terror, but the fact that we escaped is nothing short of a miracle.

We will make them pay, we will offer them a pool of their own blood to drown in, soon, my brothers.
